As lockdowns come and go, we must adapt our daily routines and schedules. We may be re-engaging with our local environment and enjoying new freedoms, or retreating into our homes and maintaining communications via technology.
Either scenario may be provoking challenging thoughts and emotions. We can navigate our external world by tuning into our inner world and developing our sensitivity, so that we can experience ourselves on a deeper level.
This session will guide you in how to do this using practices from Eastern Medicine including Qi Gong, Acupressure, Reiki and Shiatsu.
You will:
- Discover self-Shiatsu touch known as Do-In to start your day off right
- Connect with your own self-healing ability using your hands and a Reiki technique
- Learn the key elements of self-Shiatsu and be guided to try it on your own body
- Discover acupressure points on the palms and soles that help to ground and nourish
- Relax with a closing meditation using the Three Treasures
We can maintain health and prevent dis-ease from arising by balancing our polar energies of Yin and Yang, and helping our Ki (energy) to flow freely. This how we harmonise our energy – and feel great!

Why I support Bowel Cancer UK
I sent Reiki energy to my Dad throughout his cancer treatment which involved an operation and six months of chemotherapy. Thankfully he is now in remission. You can read about the symptoms of Bowel Cancer here.
At the time I fundraised by cycling from London to Amsterdam with an adventurous friend, navigating France and Belgium until we cruised into Holland after five long days, completely exhausted!
My background
I have been working with Ki for over a decade and love witnessing the positive impacts of practices from Eastern Medicine on people’s health and their ability to care for themselves. I initially trained in Reiki but also wanted to work more hands-on, so I studied for the three-year Professional Shiatsu Practitioner Diploma, graduating in 2019. I also qualified to teach the Qi Gong Shibashi Set One form. in January 2020 I took SJA Holistics overseas and set up home in sunny Goa, happily ‘stranded’ on lockdown.
